Isabella and Stéphane share more than just a passion for wine. The two met while studying oenology in Vaud - and realized that there was more between them than just the light sparkles of a glass of Chasselas. Today, they not only share a career, but also a life - and have two bright children. Their strength? The exciting mix of differences and experience. Isabella brings a breath of fresh air and creative ideas, Stéphane a steady hand and a clear head. Together they are like a well balanced blend - different in character, but together they harmonize perfectly.

Stéphane completed his training as an oenologist in Lavaux (VD) - between sun, lake and steep terraces. A short stay in South Africa gave him new ideas and insights into other wine cultures. After completing his studies, he worked as a cellar master at Vennerhus in Grosshöchstetten (BE) and later at Cave des Bernunes in Sierre (VS). Today, he combines experience and innovation: as President of Vitival, he has been committed to sustainability and biodiversity in viticulture since 2015.
In the vineyard, we tend our vines with great passion and pay attention to the harmonious interaction between soil, climate and vine; through careful manual work, low yields and ripe grapes, we create the basis for outstanding wine quality.

Sustainability characterizes our actions from the vineyard to the bottle. We focus on natural cultivation, promote biodiversity and conserve soils and resources.
Our goal is balanced viticulture - economically viable, ecologically responsible and socially aware. This results in wines that are produced with respect for nature and can be enjoyed with a clear conscience.

Our wine story begins by various coincidences in Fully, a charming wine village near Martigny in the Lower Valais. Around 60-year-old Gamay vines grow there, producing small, aromatic berries on a granite soil.
We neither could not resist the fascination of the highest vineyard in Europe - and cultivate the local Heida variety there at 1000 meters above sea level. Today, we cultivate plots at both ends of the canton: from Fully all the way up to Visperterminen - completed with vines in Raron and the winery in Leuk-Stadt
For us, diversity also means security: thanks to our vineyards scattered across the canton, the harvest remains balanced even during bad weather - the best basis for consistently high quality and wines full of character.
